I don't hear the 4 beats. I play this one with a stick on the side that plays the 4 beat feel. My other hand plays the drum using bass tones and open tones alternating. I might have a midi file of my version if you are interested. My source is Bill Matthews Book "Conga Joy" Brent Holl
