Chord progression of Billie Holiday's Fine And Mellow. She did a famous version of this on the television program "Sound Of Jazz" (the web has video) accompanied by Ben Webster, Lester Young, Sweets Edison and Gerry Mulligan.

This chord sequence consists of four choruses of the twelve bar blues, with the sequence altered subtly in every chorus. This sequence is really worth studying so that you can see the kinds of blues alterations that are permissable in a jazz performance.

New feature: use the SongTrellis Excerpt Service to customize this piece. Prepare scores for transposing instruments, transpose the score to a new key, change tempo, clip an excerpt for your own practice, study, or composition work.
