Tom, it's back up now but probably not in time for your project.

I'm going to add a process at the server farm that hosts SongTrellis to query the Mac server that hosts the Excerpt Service and restart it if it becomes unresponsive for more than a minute. This will take a few days to set up.

Up to now, I've had to notice that the excerpt service has become unresponsive or else a SongTrellis visitor has to send me mail to tell me its gone down.

I'm sorry for your trouble.
