Chord progression for Wayne Shorter's Free For All. Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers hit a high point during Shorter's tenure with the band when this was recorded as the title track for Blakey's Free For All album.
This tune starts with an 8 bar long introduction. The main section of the tune is 16 bars in length, consisting of 2 repetitions of a 4 bar A section, a 4 bar B section, and a final repeat of the 4 bar A section.
I transcribed this progression to satisfy a request. I'm not aware of a another publicly available source for this.
I'm don't yet trust my transcription technique to state that I believe this transcription is totally correct. The identification of last chord in bar 4 of the A sections I distrust the most. If someone can identify this better than I, I would be much obliged to you.
