How are excerpt chords copied to your workscore?

When the Add Excerpt Chords button is pressed the chord sequence that is contained within your excerpt are copied to end of the chord voice in your Workscore. The scores provided for Workscores consist of a single melody voice and an accompanying chord voice. The SongTrellis Music Editor for Macintosh, which peforms the edits requested for workscores, is able to handle scores with up to 64 voices.

Every member of the SongTrellis site is given a personal workscore so that they can use the tools available on the site to compose chord progressions and melodies that harmonize with those chord progressions. They can post finished scores to the Our Composers section of SongTrellis, can post their harmonic discoveries or sources of harmonic puzzlement to the Harmony Project forum on the site. They can pose questions in SongDiscussions that point to their Harmony Project postings so that everyone can hear what the subject of discussion is.

To use your Workscore, you need to be a member of the site and must be logged in.
