Chord changes for Spencer Williams' Basin Street Blues. Composed in 1928. Despite the title, this tune has the most tenous connection with the blues. The lyrical tie-in is that Basin Street is where the singer can lose his Basin Street Blues.

Louis Armstrong played this throughout his career and recorded many performances of it.

New feature: use the SongTrellis Excerpt Service to customize this piece. Prepare scores for transposing instruments, transpose the score to a new key, change tempo, clip an excerpt for your own practice, study, or composition work.
