This beautiful ballad was composed for Miles Davis' "Kind Of Blue" album. Despite the fact that Miles Davis holds the copyright to the composition, many feel that Bill Evans, Miles' pianist at the time, was a co-composer or was perhaps the sole composer of this tune. The changes do seem to use more of Bill Evans' harmonic vocabulary than Miles'.
